In Korea, many people take a personal colour test to discover which colours best match their style and identity. But what if we could also discover our personality colour?
There are no right or wrong answers — just pick the option that feels most like you.
The DISC model was developed by American psychologist William Moulton Marston and introduced in his 1928 book Emotions of Normal People. Marston identified four primary behavioural energies that describe how people respond to their environment:
Unlike clinical psychological tools (e.g., Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or Big Five), DISC is a behavioural model — it focuses on observable patterns of behaviour rather than intrinsic personality traits or cognitive styles. This makes it particularly well-suited for self-awareness in team and leadership contexts.
DISC has been validated in organisational and educational contexts globally. Over 1 million people take some form of DISC assessment annually, making it one of the most widely used behavioural tools in the world.
To align with the personal colour concept central to Chroma (inspired by Korean personal colour analysis), each DISC type is assigned a signature colour. These colour assignments are not arbitrary — they are grounded in colour psychology research and the emotional/behavioural properties of each colour.
